Alien art in the 21st century" exhibition
The eac. - center d'art contemporain d'intérêt national in partnership with the Observatoire de l'Espace, the CNES cultural laboratory, presents the work of contemporary artists who have approached extraterrestrial art.
This manifesto exhibition is intended to lay the foundations for the conceptualization of extraterrestrial art in the 21st century. In the course of its creative residencies, which give artists access to space-based resources, the Cnes Space Observatory has built up a collection of contemporary artworks resulting from direct interaction with the space environment. The International Space Station serves as a real or virtual creation site for works that reflect the new sensory perceptions generated by weightlessness on objects and bodies. The exhibition Extraterrestrial Art in the 21st Century shares with the public the results of this direct and original interaction with Space by contemporary artists.
