Bastide aux Violettes
La Bastide aux Violettes welcomes you !
Here, you can learn about the history of Tourrettes, the characteristics of the land, the many ways in which violets are used, observe our growing methods, and see the flower in high season as a part of our greenhouse tours.
At La Bastide, we are proud to introduce you to our “violet” products, authentic and natural, straight from our lands and available for purchase.
In the “Constantine Provençale,” as Tourrettes-sur-Loup is known, this City of Violets, La Bastide aux Violettes is a symbol of a collective identity that remains deeply anchored in the hearts of Tourrettans.
True to this responsibility, the lands and museum of La Bastide aux Violettes are open all year, on a superb location near the village center, providing free admission to visitors wanting to learn about the “Victoria” violet of Tourrettes-sur-Loup.
The Bastide staff is available to answer any questions you may have about this modest flower that brought the village such fame. Guided tours are offered, by appointment, at any time of year.
We also sell and provide samples of violet products and have violet bouquets available between November and March.
