The “Route Napoléon on Horseback” itinerary is a 224-mile horseback riding route of marked trails designed for horseback riders, connecting Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes) to Vizille (Isère).
“The Route Napoléon on Horseback” nationally designated a “Major Equestrian Itinerary”
It was officially opened in May 2015 and was designated a Grand Itinéraire Equestre (Major Equestrian Itinerary) in March 2016 by the French Equestrian Federation (FFE) and the National Equestrian Tourism Committee (CNTE)
This Major Equestrian Itinerary crosses four French departments (Alpes-Maritimes, Alpes de Haute Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Isère).
