Le MUR - Mouans-Sartoux

The M.U.R. (Modulable, Urbain, Réactif) is a platform dedicated to promoting contemporary art, particularly urban art. Born in the heart of the 11th arrondissement of Paris, the M.U.R. borrows the format and ritual of public advertising.

The association Unwhite it invites urban artists every two months to occupy this space and create original works measuring 2.5x6.7m. These are ephemeral works following the principle of one work covering another. With acrylics, inks, aerosols, collages, or live performances, the intervention methods are diverse and free. Serving as an open-air museum, the M.U.R. of Mouans-Sartoux builds a bridge between a neighborhood and an often-misunderstood artistic approach: street art.
