Andon
Andon is located at about 1,200 meters above sea level, in an exceptional natural setting in the heart of the Pre-Alps of Grasse. Surrounded by forests, mountains and vast plateaus, it is a haven of peace for nature lovers.
In winter, the Audiberge mountain resort, a few minutes from the village, is a popular destination for snow sports: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, art trail and many outdoor activities.
In summer, the vast plateaus of Andon are perfect for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, with panoramic views of the mountains and the Mediterranean in the distance.

The essentials
In Andon, we alternate between wildlife, heritage and lakeshores. In the heart of the Haut-Thorenc domain, the Monts d’Azur biological reserve is an exceptional animal reserve, where ancestral and amazing species of fauna and flora coexist: elk, Przewalski horses, European bison and elaph deer.
Opposite the town hall, the Sainte-Claire church, of medieval origin, was restored in 1820. Inside, we discover a modern high altar and a 17th century Spanish Christ. To the left of the entrance, the baptismal fonts carry sculptures from the 13th century.
Lake Thorenc lives to the rhythm of many demonstrations. You can walk on a pony, fish with your own equipment, have a picnic on the benches and tables, or simply enjoy a walk in the shade of the majestic trees that surround it.
